Tim Bollands is the Managing Director of Bollands Consulting, and a specialist in IT Strategy, Effectiveness and Transformation.

Tim has over 25 years’ experience in IT strategy, business change and programme management.  He has worked for major consultancies including Accenture, Deloitte and KPMG, and led the IT Strategy & Effectiveness practice for Mouchel.  He now runs Bollands Consulting, focused on helping private and public sector organisations gain maximum business value from the money they spend on IT services.

Tim has worked across all sectors, including retail, financial services, utilities, transport, manufacturing and hospitality, as well as health, defence, central and local government and emergency services.  He has developed numerous IT strategies – both national and international, delivered multi-million pound IT programmes, and managed business change teams of over 20 consultants and many more client staff.  

Tim’s expertise lies in his appreciation of the problems  that organisations have in achieving overall success with their IT – problems associated with working practices and capabilities, culture and behaviours, management of suppliers, as well as systems, processes, information and technology.  He has used this expertise to develop his own unique approach to measuring, diagnosing and enhancing the capability of an organisation to maximise business value from the investment it makes in IT.
